Managed by Beth Cataldo, the founder of the company, Hummingbird Multimedia creates interactive projects for non-profits and educational institutions. Our primary goal is to bring the highest quality material to our clients. Our designers, programmers and media producers have a wide range of experience in new-media production, including Adobe After Effects, Flash, Dreamweaver, CSS, DVD authoring and video editing.

Cataldo worked in the publishing industry since 1989, when she was on staff for one of the first computer magazines in the country. She then spent more than 15 years in the publishing world, starting up and running new magazines, CD-ROMs and web sites about technology and entertainment for a variety of publishers, including Microsoft, Ziff-Davis, IDG and Inc Publishing. In 2001, she got her MA in instructional technology at San Francisco State University and began teaching at City College of San Francisco in the Multimedia Studies program.

When she's not working on projects or teaching, she likes to travel and volunteer with wild animals. Her most recent trips include a journey along the old Silk Route across Western China, the Karakorum Highway and Pakistan, a week kayak with hundreds of dolphins in the Sea of Cortez and a six-week stint in Montana building a web site and enjoying the scenery. She is currently a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito and Wildcare in San Rafael. You'll find samples of her photos and web work on www.bethcataldo.com.
