Every year, thousands of elephant seals return to Ano Nuevo State Reserve in Northern California to perform their annual mating ritual.  Rules of Attraction details the elaborate routine of these marine mammals.
Fueled by the most testosterone per pound of any mammal on earth, the males engage in heavy combat while females birth their pups on the beach. The movie observes the males as they battle each other for alpha-bull status, the females as they nurse their young and the weaners, who are left shortly after birth.
